I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
